What is Clinical Physiotherapy Exercise Sessions?

Clinical Physiotherapy Exercise Sessions involves modifying the traditional approach to specialise in injury rehabilitation and prevention, chronic injury management and pre, during and post pregnancy management.

It is run by a Qualified Physiotherapist who has done further post graduate courses and training in this field. All classes are health fund rebatable. Medicare care plan referrals are eligible for Clinical Physiotherapy Exercise Sessions one-on-one. 

Common conditions that we treat include:

  • Women’s Health – Incontinence, prolapse, pelvic floor weakness, core weakness, 
  • Pain – Low back pain, hip pain, knee pain, middle back pain, shoulder pain, neck pain 
  • Post surgical rehabilitation – Knees, Hips, Low back and Abdominal  
  • Upper and lower body strengthening / toning
  • Developmental Conditions – Low tone, ASD, Ehlers Danlos Syndrome,  
  • Neurological – Cerebral Palsy, Stroke, Motor Neuron Disease  
What is Fit Physiotherapy Exercise Sessions?

Fit Physiotherapy Exercise Sessions are exercises delivered by a trained Physiotherapist in exercise-based rehabilitation.

Physiotherapy Exercise Sessions takes inspiration from Pilates which is a form of exercise that focuses on the balanced development of core strength, lean muscle, toning, flexibility and body awareness. There is an emphasis on lengthening the body while maintaining correct alignment of the spine. Physiotherapy Exercise Sessions focuses on the core muscles of the body – commonly thought of as the “powerhouse” muscles.

The core muscles trained include transverse abdominus, multifidus and the pelvic floor. Physiotherapy Exercise Sessions is suitable for all ages, male and female and most health conditions. All exercises can be modified and have different levels of difficulty suitable for any experience level.
